 This is an example page. This page is meant to be an example for others about putting text onto a canvas. Here we have a sentence. Here we have another sentences. By putting these words together we form meaning that apparently people like to read. Your neurons are lighting up as you read this like a Christmas tree. Come back next week for more stimulation.

www.creatorwizardseth.com It's time to build a landscape. Lets get a 512 X 512 noise grid. Wait, I forgot my laptop is an old piece of junk lets try something low resolution. Now ill just raise up the center a bit to form a mountain as my centerpiece. Then I'll paint the low areas a red muddy dirt and the high areas a gray rocky material. Apply some blending. More blending. Showing a view from the ground looking outward. We can see it's starting to feel like an actual environment. Showing 3 steps of blending on a certain hill feature. In this picture notice the slight color variations of light blue and some reds. Another iteration of blending and smoothing. Adding a more saturated red dirt near the base of the mountains Zap all the high frequency details with a smooth modifier. You may think it looks much uglier. And from the sky you are correct. However high frequency bumps and such will get in the way visually of a first person shooting game and should be avoided. High fr...

Creator Wizard Seth Dev Log #3 - A More Organized Temple

Doing some simple documentation on creating a new level to play around in. Presented here are some basic elements. A ramp, some arches, a cylinder, some pillars, and a platform. Believe it or not we can really do a lot with these simple elements. Don't forget that I am a magical wizard from the fifth dimension and I can actually bend and twist and curve these things to fit my needs.   Here we are already starting to make some progress. We can see some symmetry forming, a second platform, and an archway that is curved giving us the beginnings of an entrance to some sort of structure.  Now we can see a more developed structure on the left, compared to the less developed on the right. Notice that the structure on the left has a foundation of concrete that makes it separate from the floor material.   Now we have a ramp connecting the lower platform to the upper and some more details on the curved archway. Creator Wizard Seth Dev Log #4 - Failing to Complete the Temple, a New Beginning

So the theme of this post is to try and figure out a way to finish and release the level I was creating in my last post. In time we will find out my decision was actually to trash the level and once again start from scratch. I have realized the problem with my design approach is that I am seeing two things, the structural foundation and the structural interior as two separate entities and I'm not designing the proportions of each one to take into the account the appearance and feel of the other. So basically, instead of creating a building I am instead creation a structural entity and than trying to design a foundation underneath it. This is leading to disorganized structure and a foundation that does not fit what it on top of it very closely. I am also attempting to avoid working with terrain in completing this level because It's a new obstacle and challenge and I am learning that in the long run I am required to use terrain in order to make things easier to create.
